I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration
The New York Times needs to respect the United States Constitution. Mark Thompson, the CEO of the NY Times, needs to prepare a document with his views, observations, challenges and risks. Mark Thompson also needs to include the transcript of the conversation, the editorial team had with the anonymous person. Mark Thompson needs to mention the complete identity of the anonymous person and the associates of that anonymous person. Place all these documents in an envelope; seal it; and deliver it to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
Let the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court open up the envelope in front of all the nine judges of the Supreme Court and have an open discussion among them. Then, based on their observations, the judges are free to take action.
If the Supreme Court Judges feel that the anonymous person did deliver a wonderful service to the nation, let the judges dismiss the President and appoint the anonymous person as the President of United States of America.
If the Supreme Court Judges feel that the anonymous person did commit a crime, then let them give punishment. If the crime is a misdemeanor, then let the punishment be mild. If the crime is a felony, then let the punishment be harsh.

The worst case scenario would have been:
I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.
We did try all the possible ways to convince the President Donald Trump. But, the President Donald Trump was not listening to us. We had no other options; but to assassinate the President. For the greater good of the country, as the good citizens of United States of America, we decided to get rid of Donald Trump and did kill the President.

You secure the border; you secure all the airports; you secure the White House; but, the terrorists are inside the White House.
You don't need external terrorists coming from far away places.
This is a conspiracy and serious crime.

The anonymous person should have quit from White House and openly revolt against the President.
The United States Constitution provides total protection as the citizen for that anonymous person.

The anonymous person could have continued the operation quietly and could have published this fact in 2030. That would not have been the best option.

But the current action of publishing it - a serious crime; the anonymous person needs to go through judicial investigation.

The New York Times should not have published this article. They could have just ignored it. If they see justification, then they should have taken this matter with the Legislative or the Judicial Branches.

Publishing this article is considered as an action to destabilize the country.
Publishing this article is an insult to the Constitution.
Had it happened in any other country, it would have been considered as a coup; and the government would have destroyed the print media.
Here in United States of America, the Constitution provides freedom of expression. Freedom comes with greater responsibility. In this case, both the anonymous person and Mark Thompson misused the freedom.
In fact, Donald Trump has been just following the process. He did go to primary and then to the general election. The Electors of all states voted and elected both the President and the Vice President. Till today, Donald Trump had not violated the Constitution.
Donald Trump didn't go to John McCain funeral; that cannot be considered as a crime. In fact, Donald Trump has been real and he could not fake.
George Bush went to John McCain funeral. The fact is, George Bush defeated John McCain in the primaries and destroyed John McCain ambition to go to White House.
Barack Obama went to John McCain funeral. The fact is, Barack Obama defeated John McCain in the general election and stopped John McCain from going to the White House.
Both George Bush and Barack Obama do not have any special love for John McCain; but they master the art of faking. Donald Trump could never master the art of faking.
Donald Trump is the elected President. If you don't like him, look for any constitutional way to remove him from the power. But, any conspiracy against the Constitutional Head of the Executive Branch is a serious crime.

Even the worst criminal like, mass murderers go through the judicial process. You cannot take the law in your hand kill the mass murderer.
But, Mark Thompson, the CEO of NY Times, took the law in his hand gave the mental torture to the President Donald Trump.

The Judicial Branch is the undivided one.
The Legislative Branch is a divided one. With its division, instead of Three Branches, we have Four Branches.
Now, you introduce a division in the White House.
It is a very dangerous situation.
You don't need Imported Terrorists.
This conspiracy could be considered as a terrorist action.

What would have happened in the worst case scenario?
The anonymous person and the like-minded colleagues did try to persuade the President; but Donald Trump was not listening to them; then the Gang decided to eliminate Donald Trump.
There would have been a simple announcement from the White House:
The United States President Donald Trump passed away last night. He had his dinner and went to bed. He died in his sleep. It is a normal and natural death.
Now that this article has been published, the Gang cannot carry out the assassination.
It is a serious crime; it is not about freedom of expression. It is a coup.
It is an attempt to murder or assassinate the President of United States of America.

As per the Constitution, the Government had three branches.
Other two branches have responsibility to protect the Executive Branch.
The Senators and House of Representatives should come forward and protect the Constitution.
The Judges of the Supreme Court should summon Mark Thompson and take action.
It is a conspiracy to kill or act against the head of the Executive Branch.
Power is separated and balanced among three branches.
It is the responsibility of other branches to protect the Executive Branch when it is being challenged by foreign enemy; or imported terrorists; or internal conspiracy.
It should not be considered as Donald Trump's personal problems.
The challenges that the President of United States facing; that cannot be ignored as the challenges that Elon Musk faces.
Donald Trump is not a CEO of any commercial corporations.
Donald Trump is the President of United States of America. He faces global challenges. Certainly, Donald Trump needs safe and secure place to live and function. If White House is no longer safe, then just like George Washington, Donald Trump would operate from New York; may be from Trump Tower with his new cabinet of former Trump corporation executives.
The anonymous person may commit suicide.
